The living laboratory
Everything here has run through a winter first.
OASIS Living Systems is written from a working homestead — not a studio. The arrays, the food forest, the spring catchment and the fermentation crocks in the pantry are the same systems described in the guides. When a component fails, the article gets updated with what replaced it and why.
We publish costs, runtimes and failures because that is the information that was missing when we started. If a system has not run here for at least a full seasonal cycle, we say so at the top of the page.
How we make money
Two ways: package bundles sold through our own store, and a small number of affiliate links to gear we already own. We do not accept paid reviews and we do not link to products we have not used. If a recommendation changes, the article changes with it.
